The medium kept changing.
The need to create never did.
I’ve wanted to animate, compose, perform, write, direct and edit. The title changed. The through-line didn’t: I’m a creator—and I’m happiest when an idea becomes something people can feel.
01 / Origin
Always a
creator.
In second grade, I drew constantly and dreamed of becoming a Disney animator. By fourth grade, I was writing small piano compositions—and premiered one at a school talent show. Then came musical theatre, acting, writing, directing theatre and making short films.
Video became the center of it all at Northwestern. My a cappella group, Freshman 15, produced an ambitious spring video show filled with sketches and stories. I took over production during my junior and senior years, building 30–40 minute shows that made me shift my academic focus toward film.
I jumped in—and I haven’t left since.
02 / Leadership
Ideas are my
native language.
I’m driven by stories that move me—emotionally, intellectually or simply because they make me laugh. I’m equally energized by finding a better way to solve the problem behind the story.

The best work is bigger than one ego.
I listen carefully, welcome notes and translate feedback into the work quickly and accurately. I lead by leaning into people’s strengths, making room for their perspective and protecting the idea—not my ownership of it.
There is always another way in.
I love innovating, connecting unexpected ideas and finding clearer ways forward. Often, my strongest contribution is the idea other people can run with—and the environment that helps them make it even better.

A welcomer
at heart.
I’m a relaxed, low-key Chicagoan who likes making people laugh—and who can just as happily disappear into a passionate conversation about the world. Empathy runs through my marriage, my closest friendships, life with my dog Lilo and the way I collaborate.
I love Chicago and its sports teams, movies, live music and bringing friends together at home. Hosting is another kind of storytelling: build the atmosphere, invite people in and give everyone room to belong.
